Dxr3

Introduction

DXR3 cards are hardware decoder cards, originally designed for dvd viewing on slow PCs. With such a card you can build a cheap VDR with hardware MPEG decoder. You cannot buy new cards anymore, but ebay and co have often such cards.

Hint

Only em8300 cards are supported. Please do not buy a DXR2 card because there is no driver for older DXR2 cards.

Usually thes cards have names like

• Hollywood Plus
• DXR3
• Sigma Designs
• Real Magic
• Videologic

Please use the newest drivers from http://dxr3.sourceforge.net. plugin and driver installation.
