The '''recoder tools''' has the same goals a formerly the [[mplayercluster-plugin]] for VDR, but with a slightly different approach: Instead of letting the plugin doing the job, a replacement for the ''mplayer.sh'' is used. This way it is possible to use all the features of the [[mplayer-plugin]] and nevertheless leave the reencoding job to an other powerful machine. Every command from the plugin to the ''mplayer.sh'' replacement is send to the server despite volume changes, which are processed locally. |
