According to http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/58576 Reel Multimedia has been announcing a vdr-like box since 2003 and kept postponing it. The latest turn being, that it shall now be VDR-based.
Does anyone know details? Did they contact, you, Klaus?

Yes, they did. They asked whether they could contact me in case they have questions, and I told them that they may do so, but that I couldn't guarantee if and when I could help - after all VDR is a hobby project.
