Hi,
there is a new version of the pvrinput plugin available: http://home.arcor.de/andreas.regel/files/pvrinput/vdr-pvrinput-0.1.0.tgz
With this version ivtv 0.4.1 should work too, I just had to extend the probing routine to find the card(s).
Changes since 0.0.9: - fixed detection of pvr card to work with ivtv version 0.4.1 or later
Andreas
Hi,
I recently added a Hauppauge PVR-150 card to my VDR box. With ivtv 0.4.0 and pvrinput it works ok - thanks for your work. I don't have analog (cable) TV, but I do have a Nagra2 subscription, which is paired with the Nagra2 embedded receiver, so I connected the Nagra2 STB's s-video out to the PVR-150's s-video in. (On a composite RCA in will be connected a surveillance camera). Everything works OK, one problem: meanwhile I recond from S-video, I have no video on TV. But the rcorded file is OK.

Is there such plugin that views .sub or .srt subtitles on live tv ?? This will be good if DVB subtitle doesnt support your language. Some synchro issues needed also.
It would be really great, I did not find such a plugin. ----------------------------------------------- Füley István TigerComp SRL 0266-217.100 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Burak BAYER" bbayer@havelsan.com.tr Newsgroups: gmane.linux.vdr Sent: Wednesday, December 21, 2005 5:10 PM Subject: Any plugin that views srt and subs on Live TV

I know about DVB subtitles plugin, and it's work fine on my VDR. But Burak BAYER asked about a plugin which is able to display OFFLINE (.sub or .srt) subtitles watching live tv. You can download subtilte files for many movies in various languages.

Syncing would need to be done manually and it is not easy to do on the fly. Why not record the show, remux to MPEG-PS or some other well-seekable container, add and sync the external subtitles and watch with the MPlayer plugin? This could be done almost automatically with ProjectX and a simple script except for the syncing part.

But it is not very reliable solution for me even you need harddisk and much time for this. For example you can simply search subtitle text if you hear well-known words like "hello, bye etc.." Or with EPG data subtitle can be easily synced. Some channels have very good EPG timing...
There is a software in Windows that name is ProjectIGI. - http://www.srebrenik.net/programi/ - It can sync and draw subtitle any overlay surface..
