if that would be the case then all nexus (old ff card) users would have the same problem imho the tt s2 6400 is not supportet by mplayer

As already mentioned. Such a thing does not exist. Your best bet would be to translate the mkv to ts and convert it to a recording. Then it MIGHT be possible to watch. But there is no media player which can output to your device.

After reverting to the vdr-1.7.18 this recording still not playable with vdr. In the same time VLC media player doesn't have any problem with it and no problems with recording-playback on the another channels.

Making a new record on the same channel with vdr-1.7.18 works normally.

How to determine where problem is in 1.7.19 and how to fix it? I can upload recording sample somewhere if it helps.

The only real problem I see at the moment is the one causing distortions when switching from one file to the next during replay. This is apparently caused by a wrong index entry being generated at that point. I'm currently working on fixing that...

Hello,

MPlayer isn't compatible with my new hardware (Technotrend S2-6400), then I am looking for another solution to read my mkv files with vdr-1.7.x.

I converted a mkv (HD+AC3) to ts with h264tobox tools, and I tried to read it from vanilla vdr. The picture is OK but there is no sound. vdr displays this message : "no sound available".

Could you please help me to find the problem or point to another solution?
