That's fine as long as you don't actually have channel 60, 61, 62, 63, etc.. I don't particularly like the . either, but this method isn't any better.
Well, at least it doesn't require an additional symbol. Besides, channel numbers are just that: numbers - and that's *integers*, not decimals ;-)
