I don't know if anyone else still uses the xmltv2vdr.pl perl script for piping XMLTV data into VDR's epg, but I've been keeping a version of it updated with some additional function here: https://github.com/oldmanuk/xmltv2vdr These are the changes since the last version (1.0.9) was released on the mailing list - Add support for XMLTV episode-num. Hi, I wrote a patch to Steve Toth hvr3000 repository, so my FlyDVB Trio can use multiple frontend. Raspberry Pi, Streamdev + rpihddevice

Hi all, I just set up a couple of RPI's with the configuration of a Raspberry Pi, rpihddevice and streamdev-client. Works great but a couple of questions. When I'm watching TV with one of the RPI's and want to move to the other RPI, I cannot change the channel from what the first RPI was viewing. [Announce] Permashift 1.0 - permanent timeshift in RAM (AKA live buffer)

Hello, Permashift has been largely rewritten and is now published in version 1.0. On popular demand, it does not do automatical disc recordings anymore, but records live TV to a RAM buffer which is used for rewinding or inclusion in recordings. Permashift needs a patch to the VDR (and is incompatible with the old patch!). Problem with subtitles: not showing in HD channels

Hi, VDR 2.06 (yavdr 0.50 distro) does not show subtitles in HD channels (Yle channels in Finland). In SD version of the same channels subtitles are working fine. TV shows subtitles fine. I've tried HD softdevice and normally using xineliboutput. Various different settings but none have had any effect in this. The card is TBS6285 and according to manufacturer's support this should not be a driver issue. Any ideas what could be the problem and more importantly how to solve this? Br, Pasi

cedarX on allwinnerA20, vdr-sxfe uses more CPU than mplayer

Hi All, I have an olimex AllwinnerA20 board. I have used the following guide to enable cedarx: https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=3560.0 This works fine, I can now watch big bugs bunny and the sintel trailer in 1080p. Next, I have played the same mpeg2 SD recording by both mplayer and vdr-sxfe. vdr-sxfe uses a lot more CPU than mplayer.
