I don't know if anyone else still uses the xmltv2vdr.pl perl script for piping XMLTV data into VDR's epg, but I've been keeping a version of it updated with some additional function here: https://github.com/oldmanuk/xmltv2vdr These are the changes since the last version (1.0.9) was released on the mailing list - Add support for XMLTV episode-num. Hi, I wrote a patch to Steve Toth hvr3000 repository, so my FlyDVB Trio can use multiple frontend. Klaus / Mario - thanks for the feedback / info about filters. I will probably stay with the filters in 2.0.6 for DVB-T and DVB-T2 as it gives me good functionality. The Freeview HD EPG is quick in this config - a few minutes to get the full EPG. A couple more questions... a) In later versions, the conditional if (Setup.SetSystemTime && Setup.TimeTransponder) was removed for the TDT PID filter. Hi, How can I display a still image with iptv + ffmpeg without eating up all CPU power? This my ffmpeg command, that uses 100% of CPU time: ffmpeg -analyzeduration 0 -loop 1 -i "${IMAGE}" -f mpegts -r 25 \ -vcodec mpeg2video -b 4000k -s 664x540 -an \ "udp://127.0.0.1:${PORT}?pkt_size=16356" TIA for any hints, -- Peter

Mandatory elements in channels.conf?

Can anyone tell me if there are mandatory elements (mandatory according to DVB standard) in channels.conf that needs to be provided by the broadcasting company? There are some issues currently with Digita (DVB-T/T2). They are not providing sufficient amount of information but cannot say for fact whether the information shall be provided or not. IPTV Plugin - having trouble configuring

Hi all, I've began playing with the IPTV plugin and just can't figure out some things. I have VDR configured with a headless server running streamdev. Works great with ATSC channels and the like. I've installed IPTV plugin and added a vlc2iptv channel to my channels.conf and added the URL into the appropriate file. The channel is Sky News. I run VDR as root on my headless box. I'm not getting any errors to indicate there is something wrong so I'm guessing its the 'can't run vlc as root' … [View More]

Raspberry Pi, Streamdev + rpihddevice

Hi all, I just set up a couple of RPI's with the configuration of a Raspberry Pi, rpihddevice and streamdev-client. Works great but a couple of questions. When I'm watching TV with one of the RPI's and want to move to the other RPI, I cannot change the channel from what the first RPI was viewing. I am not sure how to tell streamdev to stop streaming so that I can watch TV on the other RPI? I hope I've been clear with that - it does sound a bit confusing. Trying to install ttextsubs plugin into vdr 2.0.0

1. I downloaded the plugin using got clone. 2. I patched vdr, that went OK and compiled. But compiling the plugin does not go fine. 3. It complaints about #include <vdr/xxxx.h> directives. Fine: I created a symlink /usr/include/vdr pointing to my vdr src dir. 4. vdr with different type DVB tuners

I have vdr 2.0.6 on a Rasperry PI, and using it via vdradmin-am and vlc. Works fine. I have a DVB-T/T2 tuner, and a DVB-C tuner on it currently. Both the tuners work fine when alone in the system. Anyway, I connected them both to the RasPI and tried to tune the DVB-T tuners to the free channels, and DVB-C to the pay channels. Now the DVB-C tuners is device 0 and works fine. But when I try to watch the free channels, VDR log file tells me that device 0 was not able to connect to the channel. … [View More]
