EPGSearch doesn't avoid repeats anymore?

Hi, I recently updated my VDR from 1.4.5 to 1.7.15, and also updated all plugins to their latest version. EPGSearch is epgsearch-0.9.25.beta17. Everything works, but epgsearch doesn't avoid repeats anymore! Here's an example from the file epgsearchdone.data: ---------------- R 1266873900 1800 0 C T-8438-8193-65 T Frasier D Kevyt-Frasier. Recordings Numbering

Hi all, I was wondering about the recording numbers associated with recordings in the LSTR output. There doesn't seem to be any obvious pattern, is the numbering just random? It'd be preferable if recordings kept a unique number, that didn't change when every time a recording gets deleted, or a new recording is started. Cheers, Dom

UK users - multiple BBC One/Two/News in channels list

Hi, Been a while since I've used VDR. Have it setup after scanning using the scan program, however something is strange. There are multiple versions of some channels, such as BBC One/Two/News, Channel 4 etc. Some of these either have video and no EPG, have video and EPG, or have EPG and no video... Obviously what I'm looking for is the video & the EPG - this works for BBC One, but when I tune to the BBC Two which has the EPG visible, I receive no signal found message. If any UK users have a cluestick on how to fix this, please let me know. It seems like VDR is updating the channels.conf but not merging the information, because a fresh scan using dvbutils does not show multiple versions for the same channel. Any help appreciated..

xine-lib and vaapi support

I'm considering to upgrade my current p3 system to a hdmi/optical SPDIF and enough expansion slots to fill in dvb-s devices. I found plenty of motherboards with combinations of 2x or 3x pci and 3x pci-express. I can simply convert those pci-e to pci with an adapter so that is not a problem. The unkown factor for me is, should I consider a motherboard where the Core i3 (System on Chip) has got a built in hdmi interface? Or would I be better off with nvidia's vdpau, of consider to go ati/amd and what power usage are we looking at? Should I then rely on vaapi support again? The end result should be a machine that is good for vdr as a frontend and a backend, that is fast enough to be able to do transcoding on the fly for those mobile devices that don't accept mpeg2 natively. (I have been doing some transcoding using vlc + mediatomb on a core2 duo 1.8GHz). I'm trying to get rid of the core2 duo and the p3 (currently hosting the dvb-s cards) I don't see intel atom machines with at least 5+ expansion slots. You suggestions are most welcome. FF-Card and Receivers

Hi, i have a question about a vdr with a ff card. When watching tv with a ff card (=> not in transfer mode): Is there a receiver attached to the primary device ? I cannot test it by myself because i dont have a ff card. Regards, Rainer

VDR 1.7.15 + DXR3 lockup problem

Hi, I have VDR 1.7.15 with two DVB-T budget cards and DXR3 video output.. I'm experiencing wierd lockups sometimes. I think there might be a hardware problem that really causes it, because even with earlier VDR versions I sometimes had "dead" dvb cards that needed a reboot to fix.. But this was easily fixed by "reboot" command in runvdr script, so the machine booted when vdr did emergency exit. Anyway the current problem is that "emergency exit" doesn't really exit! It actually needs "killall -9 vdr" to quit vdr, normal kill isn't enough. What's interesting, DXR3 output is stuck showing "Kanava ei ole käytettävissä" (Channel can't be used?) on black screen, and remote control doesn't work either.. So VDR is probably stuck in some deadlock? It doesn't use very much CPU time though. If I disable emergency exit, it simply stays stuck with dead remote and black screen etc. :) It might be a dxr3 problem, or what do you think? On my earlier setup with VDR 1.4.x, the same "video data stream broken" resulted in clean emergency exit, no such deadlock.. -- Teemu Suikki http://www.z-power.fi/

Feature-Request: MarginStart in INFO file of recording

Hi, I'm working on a script which downloads cutlists from cutlist.at and converts them to VDR format. As the cutmarks are relative to the start of the recording, the offset between start of recording and start of cutlist has to be calculated. I'm trying parse all information from the info files, but as the unix timestamp relates to the start of the show and not to the start of the recording, I have to assume an fixed offset for all recordings. So I suggest to add start margin (and maybe stop margin) to the info files of recordings. Best regards, Renne

There were a lot of pending changes in the Git, so I decided to make a releases. The changes: * Updated Italian translation provided by Diego Pierotto (Closes #151) * Fix valid page number check in TeletextBrowser::ExecuteAction (Closes #154) * Fixed possible segfault (Closes #179) - (Thx to Manuel Reimer) * Added setup option to disable main menu entry (Closes #149) (Thx to Manuel Reimer!) * Added command line option to enable storing TopText pages, which is now disabled by default (References #177) (Thx to Andreas Brachold!) * Makefile adjustments for VDR 1.7.13. * Don't care if the current channel really changed, if we get a channel switch on the primary device (Thx to Sören Moch) As always: Any help is welcome!
