Hi,
I'm wandering if we would have enough people for a media mini-summit (actually, a Linux Kernel Media Workshop) in August in Chicago, and if we have enough subjects for discussions.
Are you planning to go there? Do you have some themes suggestions for it?
I need to confirm this likely this weekend to the Kernel Summit organizers.
Thanks, Mauro

I'll be there the whole week (but might have to leave in the afternoon on Friday).

There's one that I've pushed back for too long : dynamic registration and unregistration of media entities and subdevs. Our frameworks currently assume that subdevs can't appear or disappear independently of the master/bridge device. We now have FPGA-based hardware where devices can come and go after boot time. For instance an image processing core in a media pipeline could be replaced by a different one dynamically, or the pipeline topology could be modified completely. We need to support that somehow.
I'm not sure whether the topic would be suitable for a one-day media workshop though.
