[vdr] libmad.so.0

Hi all, I'm new to VDR world.
I'm trying to install VDR on my Linux Mandrake 9 distribution.
DVB drivers works perfectly (and this is good), but VDR cannot start and
return me the error: VDR: libmad.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory." My VDR starts, hangs and restarts  continuously.
The error it returns to me is: libmad.so.0: cannot open shared object file:
No such file or directory.
The same libmad.so.0 problem with mPlayer compilation.
Any suggestion?
