There was a c't article about silent PCs not too long ago.
According to c't, silentmaxx provides the best price/performance
ratio, so I ordered one of their st11 cases for my vdr. See
    http://www.silentmaxx.de

I am pleased with that case. The vdr PC is not 100% silent
now (I guess it cannot be with 440 GB hard disk space), but
a lot less than my beamer, so to get the beamer more silent 
will be the next project...
