I'm sure it can, but I haven't yet seen it - not
reliably at least.  The Linux tools for it are
pretty rough and have not been updated in months.

I bought two of the cards thinking I'd be able to
use them as VCR substitutes.  I can't even get
good (no pauses) video out of them.  The streams
appear to be MPEG1 (according to Xine) no matter
what I do.

Unfortunately, I don't know of an alternative.
