Newbie requires information about the avaliable material?

Hi, how are you?

im interesting on to apport  my contribution to the dvb project such as i 
can do.But, to do this i need some conprenvely information about how the 
siemens dvb card works, also some basics principles about how to data are 
sen by saellite, and how kind it is.I can implemnt all about this on 
algorithms  ( im trying to learn how to programing on C ) useful fr anyone.
